Top 8 Trending Haircuts You Should Know About

After being in quarantine for the past few months, many of us are looking forward to getting out into the world again with a fresh, new look.  Like the rest of you, we’ve been scrolling through Pinterest and social media looking for inspiration.  We’ve gathered a list of the trending haircuts you should consider for your next “do”.

1. Asymmetrical haircut

The asymmetrical cut isn’t new (think Victoria Beckham, circa 2005) but the latest version has a bit of a twist.  Commonly, there’s a side-part with voluminous curls that fall on one side and a tapered cut on the opposite side. Ideal for textured or curly hair, this style can give your hair more volume and provides instant cool points.

2. Soft bob

We love the idea of wearing your hair straight at cheek level.  Many stylists propose wearing a straight bob with a natural texture to give the perfect movement and volume to your hair. If you’re feeling risky, leave your hair much more disheveled and opt for a bold platinum or red hair color.

3. Classic Lob

A “lob” is a long bob that is often the result of an overgrown “bob”.  This style has grown in popularity in the last few years.  Opt for a collarbone-length and add a fringe for a little extra movement.

4.  The Shag

The shaggy cut may be the perfect style if you’re looking for something more messy, with lots of texture that you can comb in less than five minutes. This haircut plays with many layers, lengths and styles, perfect for women with wavy or curly hair.

5. Chandelier bangs

When in doubt, add bangs.  The popular chandelier bangs are longer, graduated layers that frame your face. They flow seamlessly and frame your face for a soft, romantic look.  Also, try side swept bangs, middle-part bangs and curtain bangs.

6. Long and straight

Just like in the 90's, this look is typical of two previous decades and returns more modern than ever. Wear it wavy or smooth but always at the same length and completely straight.

7. One Sided Bob

Another great haircut proposal is to wear a bob cut, shoulder length, but comb it sideways to give a natural layered effect. Just add a little wax to create the wet effect and you're done.

8. Textured bob

No matter if your hair is wavy or straight, a textured bob always looks great. This cut combines two traits we love:  stylish and carefree. Ask your stylist to create a choppy bob with movement and we guarantee you’ll love the results.
